I downloaded and installed Draftsight. The activation email did not arrive until the next day, so naturally I assumed I made a mistake and tried again. The first email link gave the error everyone else is talking about. I renamed my SWactivation regristry entry and used the 2nd email activation link which worked. Hooray, now I can spend this rainy day checking out this product. Not so fast...when I opened Draftsight, it said that since it was a free product, I had to periodically reactivate the product. I had already received a confirmation email showing I had just activated the product. So I guess I'll have to wait another day for that email to come. Can anyone tell me why in the world I should send these people any money??? The free version is supposed to attract customers, not chase them away. I guess I'll spend the day checking out their competition. Or create a virtual machine with DOS and install Autocad 10...
