Hi,

I know this is going to be a simple set up problem but I am having trouble getting a template set up to do what I need to do. All I am trying to do is draw simple straight line floor plans with dimensions.

My problem is, I have drawn specific lines with the line command to specific lengths in feet. & inches. However when I try to add the dimensions to the lines the dimensions are not accurate and are extremely small, I have to zoom in extremely tight to even see the information.

Example: I have drawn a series of 4 parallel lines 10 ft long on 5 ft centers when I use the linear dimension tool the print is so small on the drawing that I cannot read it without zooming in extremely tight. In addition, the dimension information says the lines are 250 ft long and 125' on center however when I used the line drawing command I specified the lines to be 10 ft long and I made construction lines at 5 ft to place the parallel lines on 5 ft. centers. I have tried the dimension fit and scale options but I have not hit on anything to correct this.

Can anyone tell me what settings I need to change or where I can find more information to figure this out. I have been through the Getting Started document but I cannot find anything to help me.
