Hi everyone,
My name is Bhaskar, and I’m currently being interviewed for an IPC role at Quintiq for a team based in the Netherlands. I have 4+ years of experience in the manufacturing and supply chain IT landscape. So far, I’ve had two interviews for the role. In my last interview, I was told that while I have relevant experience, I lack expertise in supply chain optimization -> something I need to quickly learn if I’m selected for the position.
There are a few challenges I’m facing right now. I’m originally from India and recently lost my job at Northvolt in Stockholm, which also resulted in losing my visa. To add to this, I lost my father a few days ago and am currently back in India.
I was informed that the team would prefer to hire someone already based in the Netherlands or Europe to avoid the need for a work permit. However, I was also told that if the team continues to consider me, there will be another interview in mid-January — which I truly hope happens!
While I can’t change my citizenship, I want to be as prepared as possible for the next interview. I’ve noticed that this community has a wealth of information, from documents to videos, but I want to approach this learning process in a structured way to avoid getting overwhelmed.
Could someone advise me on how best to structure my learning? For example, if you were starting fresh at Quintiq, how would you go about understanding the optimization aspect of their work from day one? Any pathways, tips, or resources you could share would be immensely helpful.
Thank you so much for your time and support!
