would it be safe to assume that the origin point set at the bottom of the material also defines to a machine where the z is zeroed out at ?

I ask because im us to using enroute and vetrics software where you have to define either top of material or bottom of material based off of where you zeroed your machine at. Im not completely new to cnc , just the delmia software.
