Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the pocket milling operation.
I have a part where I need to machine an internal rectangular pocket.
Since I work in hard milling, it is important to machine the bottom as gently and individually as possible in order to put as little load on the tool as possible.
I wanted to do this using the pocket milling operation, but I have run into the problem that a lot of idle travel is created because the bore has already been finished.
Is there a way to finish this pocket without the bore being machined as well?
Or is there another operation that would be better suited for this situation?
Thank you very much for your support.
