As known then you add an attribute to physical product it appears all physical product regardless of whether it is a sheet metal part or structural part. I need to have different attributes for different part types and seen on information panel. The way to do this is using classification.

But, when we think about designers usage, it is not easy to ensure that they create part in CATIA than clasify them and put the right attributes values. So,

What may be the best practice to this during part creation in CATIA ?

Please take this in account that some attributes has to come from design parameter and added to attribute like bounding box dimension, bending count for sheet metals, etc. This information will sent to ERP for cost calculation.
