Hello everybody,

I am using the 2016X version of the 3DExperience platform. I have a complex assembly (more than 60 pieces) and every parts have links and connections between them. I am trying to prepare my model for a simulation by cutting off everything that is more than 1.5 meter of the area I am focusing in. i do not want to do so on the original CAD so I tried doing it with a derivative representation (CATIA Assembly Design) but it creates me some problems for the meshing part in SIMULIA (CAD modified, body created are not considered as mechanical components so tie connections impossible to achieve).

Then, I was wondering if someone had a method to do so without either touching to the original CAD and perturbing the CAD for the SIMULIA part?
