How do I import .obj subdivision surfaces (from Blender, e.g.) to use in CATIA

We have colleagues that use Blender for part of our workflow (yes, we theoretically could use ICEM for a portion of the 3D Modeling work, but let's just assume that Blender is an essential tool and that won't change)

They're generating .obj files with subdivision surfaces. We're using another CAD software to translate and process that .obj file into a STEP file to finally import into 3DExperience CATIA for mechanical modeling and detailing.

We'd love to simplify this tool chain by removing that intermediate software and import directly from the .obj files generated by Blender.

What I've found so far

Existing information on this in 3DSwym is sparse (at least accoring to my cursory searches).

The user guide has a short page in Creative Design Experience that explains how to import a .obj file.

But that's about it. (Feel free to share links if I missed something, too)

Is Creative Design Experience the only app that supports this workflow?

Or can I use other apps (or the "regular" import feature that handles other filetypes) to import these subdivision surfaces in the .obj file?

We have access to several roles/apps that work with surfacing, just not Creative Design Experience presently.

What other apps might be useful in this import process?

Can I get a video or some other demonstration on importing a .obj?

And subsequently using that surface to generate some Solid models referencing that surface, perhaps?

(We're on 2025x FD01 Public Cloud, so whatever's available or soon-to-be-available is a fine response)

Thanks for any insights.
