Hello,

I have noticed that with the downloaded "local" CATIA 3dx program that I have to log in to my 3dx platform account in order to run or use it. If this is the case with the download of CATIA, what is the point in downloading it at all instead of just running it from the cloud? This is the case with the student version. If I or a company I work for were to buy a full license would it be the same? Also, if there is maintenance going on on the 3dx platform, like the maintenance coming up on November 20th & 21st, does this mean that CATIA wont be functional during that time? Or the ability to log into the 3dx platform wont be functional?

This morning around 6am CDT I ran into a problem opening CATIA 3dx on my PC. It said "The 3dx server was currently down. Please contact your Administrator". Which I thought that I was the admin considering I am the only user with roles on my account. It went away after 2 or 3 different tries, before I decided to post anything on here about it. But in the future (on 11/20 & 11/21) will the platform and the program be down for two days straight? If so, is there a way to run CATIA without the 3dx Platform? Or "locally"?
