Dear all,
do you know if there is the opportunity to show both a Thread (that is a texture) applied on a surface and a Material with Appearance Domain, applied to the same body?
Modeling inside the Building 3D design App, the steps to reproduce this situation involve the simple creation of a pad, starting from a sketch with an hollow portion, and the application of a Thread (using command "c:thread" in the Status Bar) on the support.
The final result, structured with Pad and Thread is shown in the Attached Video.
The next step involves the application of a material to the interested Body, with an Appearance Domain (necessary in order to see differences and characteristics of the Materials used directly in the modeling area).
The problem derives from the overlapping of Material over the Thread, that completely hide the Thread in the 3D modeling area. In a more complicated and structured environment, with several Materials and Threads, give up seeing one or the other element will be a problem. Thread still remains visible, how it is correct, in the Drawing area.
Despite several trials to show both Material and Threads directly in the modeling area, especially using Preferences or Material Properties, the Material application always overwhelm and cover the Thread visualization.
There is any way to achieve our scope? Attached Video to better understand the scenario!
Thank you all for support!
