Dear all,
we are trying to understand if it is possible to create a rectangular bounding box that can be adjusted as desired, in order to later calculate the maximum dimensions: length, height and depth.
Apparently there is the possibility to create bounding boxes using terrain preparation, but it is limited to point clouds and road layouts. We have also discovered that there is another type of bounding box (in many app tools) but it takes the exact shape and geometry of the modeled element.
At the moment the only workaround that we have found, quite simple, is to use xGenerative Design & Visual Scripting to create a "bounding box" and extract the three main dimensions of the box, in a user-selectable direction.
We wonder if there is a similar command among CATIA applications (excluding xGenerative Design & Visual Scripting application) that does the same thing.
Attached is a video for better understand
