Pileline pilot is a great software, but it more than a software, it is a great R&D platform also, but it is still too expensive for somebody.

I hope everyone can enjoy this great software, so why accelrys can't free the PP(pipeline pilot)?

Accelrys could be Apple Inc. in R&D, if she changes the sales mode of PP.

Here is my suggestions:

1. free the PP platform  and just offer the base components and protocols , such as "file manipulate" and "reporting" etc.

2. build a online store for sale the core components and protocols, such as "biology", "chemistry" and so on.

3. improve the PP API for third parter to develop new components and procotols, and those productions can saled by the online store too, just like the App in Apple store.

4. even more, Accelrys can be a cloud computer center.
