Dear Accelrys Community
Hi
I'm new to Materials Studio and I'm using the Sorption Module
I operated a Sorption Isotherm simulation of my polymer and obtained the isotherm graph.
Well, the x-axis is scaled by fugacity, but I'm a high school student so I don't know well about the fugacity.
Can anyone tell me the know-how of converting fugacity into pressure?
I cannot compare the isotherm with my experimental results because of the fugacity scaled x-axis
Also I read some discussions from this community and found out that the adsorbed quantity from the simulations are represented as the absolute adsorption.
I'm reading some papers to learn about the excess/absolute adsorption but now I only know that the experimental values are shown as excess adsorption and simulation values are shown as the other one.
How can I convert the absolute adsorption to excess adsorption? Also is the excess adsorption lower than the absolute adsorption? And is the absolute adsorption same with the TOTAL adsorption?
I'll wait for detailed replies.
P.S. Can anyone recommend some good papers that I can learn about fugacity and excess/absolute adsorption?
