Want to let you know of some updates made and applied to 3DSwym - including this SOLIDWORKS User Forum community - a week ago.
From SOLIDWORKS users' feedback, RnD applied the following:
Compact view of community feed - adjustments applied to the mobile look-and-feel for improvement in viewing and to be better aligned with the relatively new compact view applied back in July.
Cropped comments to show See more link - now when the standard, "large" view is displayed in 3DSwym, if there is more content inside the entry than what is shown in the preview mode, you will see the text, "See more..." Clicking that blue text will take you into the post to get all the details.
Default search location is now in current page - this is one of the high-priority 3DSwym enhancements requested by users and now is released. Clicking the search window in the top center will now be defaulted to the current page and if you want to run a "global" search across all you have access to within this instance of 3DSwym), you just need to adjust the drop down in the search.
Side note: there is an unintended issue with the behavior with this applied enhancement that is being addressed for a quick fix by RnD this week.
Support uploading of SOLIDWORKS files - users can now enrich posts/questions/etc by uploading .sldprt, .sldasm or .slddrw file types into 3DSwym. Just click the "Add media" icon to ad the media by browsing for the selected file or files you want to add.
Side note: 3DSwym-native visibility/previewable is WIP and due to come with future releases.
Switching between accessible tenants - users now have a way to easily switch between accessible tenants. Just look for the drop down right under your log-in name, or if your browser is taking up a condensed space on your desktop view, you'll see a cloud icon to click and access.
