Our office is having ongoing problems with the list of opendocuments in SW. If we attempt to switch windows, often a differentpart than the one we wanted will come to the top. Also, when wesave by choosing "close" from the file menu, or perhaps the "x" onthe upper right corner if the documents are tiled, SW will oftenbring up a window for the part we thought we just closed.
I just spoke with our network administrator regarding anotherproblem I've been having with windows itself; When I view adirectory on the network, and attempt to sort by filename, thensort order is wrong. He is speculating that the server is sortingby similar rules as then Excel spreadsheet. Numbers are oftenrecognized as numbers, and sorted by value instead ofalphabetically.
Is it possible that this is somehow affecting SW? Could SW be usingthe Windows sort order for the list of open documents, but thenre-sorting by a different method when it comes time to actuallyswitch-to or close the document?
Of course, to complicate things, we are having other video issues, where a square area under my mouse pointer will act like the erasecurser in a paint program.
We are on a new HP Compaq dc5800 Microtower, with Intel Core2DuoCPU E8400 @3.00GHz. 4G RAM.
Video is the Nvidia Quadro FX 3700, and using the recommended ver6.14.116939 video driver.
SW 2008, ver 2.1
