Forgive my messy post, there was a problem with the Java App.andmy HTML is rusty.
Hello all. This is my first post, as I usuallyfindwhat I'm looking for with the search.
Here goes: We have several PC users that need to view andprintSolidWorks drawings, but should not have write access to them.
We have a piggyback viewer that will display (and print)drawingswith the SolidWorks footer at the bottom left, and, occasionally, this footer will
show a date that is months before the actual date.
It seems as though these files are being cached somewhere onourserver, and I'd like to know if anyone has some experiencewiththis.

I've documented my encounters with various tech support linesforyour information/entertainment.
We noticed the problem first with a viewer called AutoVuethat isembedded in a database app. we use called E2: Tech supportfor E2blamed the viewer and said that we could not switch toanotherviewer (EDrawings works fine as far as I can tell).
I was able to duplicate the problem in SolidWorks 2007Viewer, so Icalled SolidWorks support; they simply said not to useSolidWorksViewer, but EDrawings instead.
I called tech support for this 3rd party viewer, and gotsomeonethat I believe really tried to help, but was unable to; henotifiedE2...see above.
I've since e-mailed AutoVue and SolidWorks tech supportasking formore support, and I've heard nothing back yet.
