Does anyone have experience with validating orthotropicporous media in FloWorks? I believe it is possible to useorthotropic or axisymmetrical porous media to model shell tubebundle pressure drop.
However, I have been experimenting with the porous media option andnote that it does not seem to behave as I would expect. In otherwords, set constants A & B and change porosity for a givenmodel which impacts velocity. Since resistance is directly relatedto velocity dp/dx = AV^2 + BV I would expect higher pressure dropwith increasing velocity, but this is not what I am seeing??
