Any idea out there if you can create a library feature andalso attached some kind of annotation or something akin to a holecallout to it that would display in the drawing. We have run out ofideas and thought we would ask a larger audience. We have been ableto accomplish the same thing with Inventor but so far we don't havean idea for solidworks.
Essentially we are creating manifolds with a variety of ports. Itwould be really nice to be able to drop a library feature for eachport into this file and then when creating your drawing just showthis above annotation so you can be assured that the callout youplace matches the geometry you placed.
We were originally hoping that a description or file property inthe original library part would be referenced but so far we havesimply not been able to find a way. Or maybe the feature name (butthis would have to be pretty long and wouldn't support multiplelines, or configuration name when you chose the instance ofport......
