How to combine QTY on single item with multiple configs

SF 2008-06-15

In my model I have several parts that are LH and RH versions.I prefer to detail one part and note that it has an oppositeversion.

In my BOM I would like to combine the QTY of this part so that itshows there are (2) pcs and not listed as (2) different partnumbers with QTY=1.

How do I achieve this?
