One of our companies products is pre-bent flat cables coatedor bare and range in size from 3x20mm to 10x200mm. These arecurrently being designed 3 ways; AutoCAD 2D, SW (extrude, cut,loft), & SW (Sheet metal).
The problem we ran into was since there is no twist feature insheetmetal and flex can only be used if the part does not intersectthe planes at any other location poor modeling turned intoincorrect cut lengths.
So now to my question: Does the routing tool sufficiently handleusing a flat cable and making the proper bends and twists toactually route that cable?
