In an effort to reduce equipment and energy costs we havedecided to replace several light duty workstations with "thinclient" hardware consisting of N-computing L230 network clientdevices connected to a centralized host. Some but not all of theselocations need to have access to view solidworks files (view only).I have installed edrawings on the host pc but for some reason Ican't get the software to run either on the host machine directlyor on the remote workstations. Double clicking the icon does notseem to have any effect at all however, if carefully watched, theprocesses list does show the application launching and running for1-3 seconds before terminating. This same odd behavior occurs whentrying to launch SW Explorer on the same sort of host-networkclient situation. There are no error codes displayed theapplications simply do not stay running long enough to get anywherewith them. I realize that there are licensing concerns with anarrangement like this but as these are free programs I wouldn'tthink that would be an issue. Has anyone else seen this and/or hadsuccess getting these programs to run in this way?SolidworksEdrawings
