I am fairly new to Solidworks having used Pro/E for about 6years. In Pro, when using mechanisms to control the movement ofparts, it is possible to take a 'snapshot' of the assembly incertain positions, that you can then recall when needed, or use ina motion study.
Is there something similar in Solidworks? I have some partsassembled that are able to move relative to each other, but I wantto be able to store certain positions of the components, e.g. astart and finish position. When I am in Simulation, and have astudy, if I change the component positions, whether intentionallyor accidentaly, I can't find a way to revert them back to theprevious positions or to a saved position, which means I need tore-run the study.
I know that keyframes can be used when doing a motion analysis toposition the components but I'm not sure that helps me do what Ineed to do, if that makes sense.
If you need more info, please let me know.
