So, we are a group of 4-6 EPDM users for a big company who set up our vaults as one big vault, so the other US sites have sub folders for their org which we cannot see, etc.. All those different orgs have different ways of management fasteners, but few of them use SW Toolbox. It's my understanding SW Toolbox can be EPDM-managed but only at a vault level, so this is out of the question, we'd have to get corporate IT to set it up and have all the other US orgs agree. It would never happen.
Right now we are using Toolbox on a network drive and it works, but it's slow and unreliable over VPN as you might imagine. Given the COVID enviroment, WFH is here to stay so we need a better solution.
So far I've thought of:
1) Not using Toolbox at all and making our own parts and configuring them with design tables. Some other sites do this but this seems like a PITA. At least they could be easily put in the EPDM vault though.
2) Use a 3rd party Add-in.
Any other ideas? What are you guys doing?
