Jeremy Fielding Using SOLIDWORKS to Make Reasonably-Sized Industrial Robot

Hey everyone, I thought the members of the SOLIDWORKS Connect community might find this project interesting/cool. A lot of us are/have been interested in industrial robots for some time - and some of you, no doubt, design them as part of your jobs.

As part of my work here at SOLIDWORKS, I run something called the SOLIDWORKS Influencer Program, where I get to work with some really interesting creators out there on YouTube, Instagram, etc. supporting their educational projects in the realm of design/engineering. One of these creators is Jeremy Fielding.

Recently, Jeremy released his first video showing off an amazing project where he made his own industrial style robot from scratch in his shop. Yes - from scratch!

He uses SOLIDWORKS desktop for a lot of the components, while using 3D Sculptor (xShape) for some of the swoopy shapes. This was one of those deals where I got to hear a lot of the earlier phases of the project (you know: full of the 'oh man, how am I going to do this?'-type comments), so seeing it come to fruition is pretty awesome.

Let me know what you all think in the comments!
