Hey Everyone!
My favorite software just got better with the latest release of 3D Sculptor xShape! Every once in a while I like to “attempt” to impress my kids… Right now they are all really into SHARKS.
Challenge Accepted... I often turn to nature and sea creatures for inspiration in my designs.

I started this model with a simple box. I love doing this because it allows me to create a simple foundation that I can then turn into a very complex shape. As an Industrial Designer my go to tool for 3D design is SOLIDWORKS. You can usually find me knee deep in: lofts, sweeps, sketches, and planes. However, I really enjoy the freedom and the speed of subD modeling. It allows me to conceptualize my designs on the fly. For me there is NOT a quicker way to get my designs out of my head and into 3D space. Don’t tell anyone, but I have a lot of fun using this software too.
