Leading the Future of Design
SOLIDWORKS provides industry-leading, collaborative, and secure design and engineering solutions with flexible deployment options: browser-based and cloud-connected.
Key Enhancements
This new release brings significant improvements to the SOLIDWORKS roles on the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform. Below is just a small selection of the most notable enhancements.
SOLIDWORKS Browser-based Roles
- Reduce errors and save time when creating complex fillets in 3D Creator with improved fillet visualization and failure feedback. Organize data on the fly with direct Bookmark integration. Improve productivity with enhanced parent sketch identification and editing options, streamlined Mass Properties user interface, new multi-component pattern support for assemblies. Rapidly define sketches with the Design Assistant Sketch Helper.
- Stay organized with new integrated collaborative space selection for new document sets in in Manufacturing Definition Creator. Communicate with global partners and maintain definition accuracy using Japanese Industrial Standards for drafting. Rapidly access common 2D drawing commands with drawing-specific mouse gestures.
SOLIDWORKS Cloud-connected Roles
- Easily locate and open your content when working in SOLIDWORKS whether it is stored on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform or on your computer using 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Premium, Professional, and Standard, or Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS.
- Reduce saving steps with the ability to include reference drawings when using Save as New assembly or part in 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Premium, Professional, and Standard. Easily locate drawings in assembly structure while navigating models on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, and speed up collaboration with other project stakeholders with the ability to download derived outputs and SOLIDWORKS native data directly from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
- Provide more guidance during the first use of the role by making start-up content available in Electrical Schematic Designer. Enable greater flexibility to store and select the correct electrical content during the schematic creation process for all of your Collaborative Spaces. Validate your content selection prior to use thanks to the expanded use of Thumbnail views of Electrical Macros and Electrical Projects in 3DSpaces.
- Improve productivity with the ability to save and open models stored on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform directly from within your SOLIDWORKS session using Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS.
