This new release brings significant improvements to the SOLIDWORKS roles in the 3DEXPERIENCE® Works portfolio. Below is just a small selection of the most notable enhancements.

SOLIDWORKS Roles on the Platform (Browser-based)

• 3D Creator: Seamlessly convert images into editable 2D sketches. Tailor your design context by customizing the design environment to suit your needs. Easily visualize your design within a design environment with dynamic translucency. Easily access components from the Part Supply panel which opens next to the xDesign session. Instantly pinpoint which components were inserted As Reference using the session information panel. Accelerate your design process and focus on crucial details with the ability to zoom to selected entities. Easily manage the design lifecycle with the ability to change the maturity state of selected components.
• 3D Sculptor: Quickly test design variations with the Cancel Subdivision feature. Streamline the mesh extrusion workflow by repeating the previous mesh extrude selection. Easily leverage symmetry in geometries with high-valence vertices.
• 3D SheetMetal Creator: Ensure compliance with industry standards by using a library of standard hole feature. Support company-specific manufacturing practices by configuring standard hole feature on the fly.
• Manufacturing Definition Creator: Easily create projection views with a new intuitive interface for touch devices. Foster clear 2D communication and documentation for sheet metal components with new flat pattern view capabilities. Provide simple, clear manufacturing instructions for sheet metal components with new bend table capabilities. Rapidly create projections with improved performance.
• 3D Motion Creator: Assess part stress with higher fidelity through streamlined loads transfer from motion to structural simulations. Increase the quality of early mechanism design by identifying potential clashes directly with the first kinematic or dynamic model check. Manage contacts involving open surfaces. Prevent selecting a single body in both connectivity definitions within an element dialog. The geometry associated with invalid bodies appears transparent and cannot be selected, and more.

• 3DEXPERIENCE DraftSight Premium and Mechanical: Work faster with large and complex drawings. Import CATIA® drawings with Multi-Sheets functionality into 3DEXPERIENCE DraftSight®. Select from enhanced BOM properties. Take advantage of DWG 2021 support in DraftSight Mechanical. Access support for macOS Sonoma, and more.
• Electrical Schematic Designer: Save the product structure of your electrical project to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Save time by importing existing manufacturer part and wire/cable information from other sources.
