Credly Badges Now Available For All Professional And Expert SOLIDWORKS Certifications!

Hello all!  We have a major announcement from the SOLIDWORKS Certification team. Starting on January 1, 2025, we are awarding Credly digital badges for all SOLIDWORKS Professional and Expert exams!  Associate level certifications such as the CSWA will unfortunately not receive Credly badges at this time, which is a good excuse to aim for a higher Certification tier since that come with extra benefits.

Credly Badges are digital credentials that allow professionals to showcase their skills, achievements, and certifications online. Credly badges provide employers and peers another way of showing off your SOLIDWORKS certification as they are able to be shared through social media and other digital communication. Credly's Platform also offers labor market insights, based on your skills.   You can search and apply for job opportunities right through the Credly Platform.

In 2025, if you have earned a Professional or Expert level certification, you will be given the opportunity to collect your digital badge the next time you login to your Certification account.

To claim your badge, simply go to the Certification Portal, https://3dexperience.virtualtester.com/#home, and login to your Certification account.  Upon entering your account, you will be given a notification like the one below:

Simply click on “Claim Badges” and your badges will be awarded to your Credly account.  You can also click on “Remind Me Later” to claim your badges at a later time.

If you choose “Remind Me Later” you can always claim all your badges at any time by going to your Certificates tab and clicking on the “Claim Credly Badges” found in the upper right hand side.

Once you claim your badges, an email from Credly will be sent to you.  If you are receiving your first badge, instructions will be sent as well on how to create your Credly account.

The Value of the Credly Badge!

Once accepted and awarded, you can login to your Credly account (www.credly.com) and share the badge to popular social media platforms like LinkedIn, X, or Facebook. You can also share the badge through any digital communication such as email or any messaging app.  This is where the true value of a Credly badge becomes apparent. Sharing your badges is an easy way to allow people such as your colleagues, education admissions personnel, or potential employers to be aware of your credentialed skills since they provide concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn your credential and what you're now capable of.

Thank you all and have a Happy New Year 2025!
