This new release brings significant improvements to the SOLIDWORKS roles on the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform. Below is just a small selection of the most notable enhancements.

SOLIDWORKS Browser-based Roles

• Easily create complex fillet geometry for edges, vertexes, and more in 3D Creator with an intuitive user experience that provides next-level flexibility. Identify assembly errors and issues quickly and easily throughout your design process. Increase your control and precision of lofted geometry with new selection manager functionality for selecting sketch segments. Getting assembly mates correct is now even easier with the new shortcut to Flip Alignment from the design manager.
• Eliminate size ambiguity when inserting a primitive shape in 3D Sculptor by controlling the precise size measurements of the bounding box. Speed up geometry selection with new selection accelerators. The system will automatically complete similar selection patterns across the body.
• Increase productivity and create complex sheet metal designs in 3D SheetMetal Creator using solid geometry as a foundation for your design. Reduce time to manufacture and flatten imported geometry and surfaces.
• Create structure systems faster in 3D Structure Creator by automatically trimming members during member creation. Easily manage custom structure sections by specifying the destination collaborative space.
• Speed up parting surface creation and design parting surfaces that are easier to manufacture in 3D Mold Creator with improved handling of self-intersection for inside corners. Speed up the creation of your mold assembly and mold components with a one-button click solution to create your mold components automatically.
• Save time detailing drawings and improve drawing consistency in Manufacturing Definition Creator with custom saved sheet formats. Define your assemblies with clarity and provide critical assembly information with new bill of materials tables. Customize your tables using familiar table editing functionality and a wide range of ENOVIA-linked product properties. Easily and accurately place dimensions to define your model properly using intelligent workflows to snap annotations to frequent plane orientations.

SOLIDWORKS Cloud-connected Roles

• Be productive even when working in places with limited or no internet connection with offline mode in 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Standard, Professional, and Premium. Collaborate more easily with teams outside of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform with the ability to safely share an entire design project using a simple command from within SOLIDWORKS. 
• View and edit DWG files on the go even without internet access in 3DEXPERIENCE DraftSight Premium and Professional. Save files locally and upload them to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform when you are back online.
• Continue electrical design work using Electrical Schematic Designer when traveling or away from internet connection using the new offline mode.
• Speed up the modeling process in 3D Motion Creator by directly referencing geometrical entities like point, line, or surface within the motion element.
• Improve collaboration among non-CAD users and project stakeholders in Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS by allowing them to extract SOLIDWORKS native data. Improve the revision comment workflow by enabling users to enter revision comments and map them to SOLIDWORKS file properties.
• View and edit DWG files on the go even without internet access with the new offline mode in Collaborative Designer for DraftSight. Save files locally and upload them to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform when back online.
