3DEXPERIENCE World 2023 is rapidly approaching and we are putting all the final touches on what is shaping up to be one of the best conferences ever! Many people will be taking certification exams as a part of their conference experience, so I thought it would be a good idea to put out some general bits of information surrounding the testing process!
First, for those of you planning to attend the event in person by traveling to Nashville, you are what we consider to be an "in-person" attendee. Everyone else, we consider you to be a "Virtual Attendee". There are also some of you that are Students, and regardless if you're attending in-person or virtually, we consider you to be a "Student" attendee.
The most common question we get are:
Which exams will I be able to take?
That depends on if you are an in-person attendee, a virtual attendee, or a student. The list of exams to which you will have access to take either on-site, or virtually can be found on the Certification Exam Matrix found on the 3DEXPERIENCE World 2023 website. There are three different columns on the sheet, find your column and you will see which exams you will have access to!
Will I be able to take the CSWE "Expert" exam?
If you are an in-person attendee, then yes, you will have the chance to take one of the Expert level exams on Sunday during the conference. Be sure that when you registered, you picked an exam session time on Certification Sunday at the conference. If you are a virtual attendee, or a student, you will not have access to either of the expert level exams. And yes, if you take the CSWE exam in-person on Certification Sunday and pass, you will be eligible to go to the CSWE Event on Monday night!
I'm attending the conference as a virtual attendee; are there any sessions I am required to attend in order to get access to the free exam offer?
Yes. You MUST attend the Tuesday General Session at the very least in order to be included in the free exam offer. You can either attend the session live on the event platform, or watch a recording of the event on the vent platform after it has ended and been posted. If you watch the recording, you must watch it through the event platform no later than Thursday February 23rd to get access to the free exam offer. Please note that you must watch the live stream or the recording via the event platform. If you watch it any other way, then your virtual attendee account will not show that you attended, and you will not be included in the free exam event.
When will information about in-person exams be sent out?
An email will be sent about 5 days before Certification Sunday to all in-person attendees that have signed up to take an exam on site. This will include the time you signed up for, where to go to take your exam, as well as other important information. The email will be sent to the email address you used to register for the conference.
For all others, an email will be sent to you on Friday February 24th containing all necessary information you will need. The email will be sent to the email address you used to register for the conference.
Can I change my email address?
Once you have registered for the conference with an email address, you must use that email address to log in to the tester client when taking an exam as a part of the conference. If you use a different email address, you will not have access to exams. Also, do not change your VirtualTester email address after you have registered, that change will block you from accessing exams as well.
Can I register for a free virtual pass multiple times to get access to the exams multiple times?
No, we have technology in place that will look for duplicate registrations and will remove them.
When will exams for virtual attendees be open?
Exam access will open at Midnight EST on February 27 and will close at Midnight EST on March 3. More information can be found at the BOTTOM of the 3DEXPERIENCE World 2023 Certification Information Page.
I have school exams or other important things going on the week that exam access will be open, can I change the dates or get an extension?
No. Unfortunately we are not able to modify or extend the dates that exams will be open. We have tried to do our best to accommodate as many people as possible, and as we have seen in the past, thousands of people are able to take exams without any issue during this time period.
I'm attending the conference and have signed up to take an exam on Sunday, will I also be able to take an exam during the post conference exam period?
As long as you show up and take an exam on Sunday, you will then also be able to take another exam during the post conference exam period as well. If you attend the conference, but do not show up to take an exam on Sunday, the you will not be able to take an exam during the post conference exam session.
I have a question that is not answered here, how can I get it answered?
Please feel free to post any questions you may have in the reply section below, myself, or someone from my team will be sure to answer you. That is the benefit that the collaborative nature of 3DSWYM has, it also allows others to read your questions and see the answers so they can find out as well!
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Nashville in just a few weeks, and please stop me to say hello if you see me around the conference center!
