In the visualization module, Abaqus/CAE allows creation/viewing of Free Body Cut “Based on view cut”, but it is not possible to save the view cut.

“Free Body cut based on view cut” is different from “Free Body cut based on 2D element edges/3D element edges/Elements and nodes” . Also, remember that it cannot be saved in the Free Body Cut Manager.

For this reason, it cannot be used to create XY data  as XY data will be generated only for all active free bodies listed in the Free Body Cut Manager.

This is a known limitation. You may file an RFE for it.
