Workshop: Cable Harness Simulation | EuroMed Conference | RUM 2024

We were glad to be able to offer our participants at the EuroMed SIMULIA Conference 2024 on June 11–12, 2024 at the Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy, the workshop titled "Cable Harness Simulation"

View here the slides of the workshop held by @EZ.

Abstract:

By reliably optimizing the shielding, weight, and space consumption of complex cable harnesses while in the virtual prototype stage, using CST CABLE STUDIO™ (CST CS), helps you achieve cost-effective design.
CST CS simulations can be performed in time and frequency domain, including skin effect and dielectric losses. Simulations can also comprise SPICE and IBIS models. Typical analysis includes voltage distributions on probes, current flow through components, scattering parameters, and impedances. Furthermore, a live link to import cable harness data from CATIA Electric will be shown.

About the Speaker:

Emanuele Zanin earned his Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Turing in 2005 and completed a Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Avionics and Aerospace System Engineering from Politecnico di Turin in 2007.
He spent 10 years in the Aerospace Industry at Leonardo Aircraft Division in Turin, working in the E3 group, where he honed his skills in using Electromagnetic tools and gained extensive and detailed experience working on a wide range of military aircraft. Emanuele's technical expertise lies in antenna analysis, antenna siting, EMC, EMI, RF, and RCS.
In 2016, Emanuele transitioned to CST AG and currently holds the role of EUROMED SIMULIA Industry Process Consultant Senior Specialist at Dassault Systèmes.
