How to easily design lightweight, rigid and durable components and systems
Structural optimization tools like Simulia Tosca Structure provide methods to create designs with optimum relation between weight, stiffness and dynamic behavior. These include
- topology optimization to derive optimal design suggestions from a given design space
- sizing optimization to find optimum sheet thicknesses
- shape optimization for efficient product improvements through specific design modifications
- bead optimization to find the optimum layout of bead stiffeners for sheet metal structures
