Abstract
Requirements for ADAS sensors are growing. One of the constantly growing requirements is communication. Multiple high-speed interfaces on a single board need detailed understanding of the coupling between each channel.
This presentation introduces the analysis of automotive ethernet differential pairs in CST Studio Suite. The focus is on cross talk between other adjacent different pairs with distinction of common and differential mode. Workflow of the analysis uses co-simulation of 3D simulation and AC analysis in Design Studio.
The advantages of simulation are demonstrated:
Influence of grounding vias is compared between different versions of the PCBs.
Disproving the hypothesis could be done with very fast iteration without need of real sample production.
