Contact functionality in Abaqus provides a powerful set of tools for efficient and accurate contact simulations covering a wide range of applications, physics and problem sizes. Indeed, Contact is one of the leading features used by our customers across various industries and workflows. Significant effort goes into enhancing existing capabilities in Contact and adding new ones in response to customer requests and feedback.

Many key improvements have been added to Contact capabilities in both Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit in the releases that came out in the last several months.
