Abstract:
The field of research focuses on improving correlation between test and CAE results. A satisfactory CAE setup can reduce the number of tests during a product development phase and understand critical areas of the product. One of the many customer requirements is the tensile strength. In this case, damage behaviour of the developed product is implemented in CAE setup. The goal is to investigate whether it is possible to represent failure modes by using CAE. For this purpose, the CAE setup is analysed and adjusted to achieve the tested crack position and tensile load.

Since Martin Suchý graduated from Czech Technical University in Prague, he works as a CAE Methodology Engineer in THK RHYTHM AUTOMOTIVE that produces chassis parts for passenger and commercial vehicles. He is part of the team headquartered in Düsseldorf that develops CAE methods. The field of his research focuses on CAE development and improvement based on tests and production processes. he performs static, dynamic analyses as well as fatigue estimations. His tasks also include the creation of metarial models applied in numerical calculations and their maintenance.
