The Evolution of CAE Methods at Dana I 2022 Great Lakes Regional User Meeting Presentation

We were delighted to have Dan Gibson from Dana Incorporated present at the 2022 SIMULIA Great Lakes Regional User Meeting, June 8, 2022.

Abstract: There are many factors that influence the development of CAE methods in an organization. This presentation will show how one of those factors, the pursuit of capturing failure modes seen in lab testing, has driven the development of one aspect of CAE in Dana. “Lessons learned” from several case studies will be presented. They will illustrate the necessary progression from simple models to the more complex models being built today, that required Dana to purchase and utilize Abaqus throughout the Dana enterprise. Our latest methods, while still advancing, have transformed our ability to predict many component failures and optimize complex systems, while minimizing the time taken to do so.
