Abstract:

This presentation focuses on the capacity calculations and correlation study of the Latch Connector used within Subsea Test Tree during Subsea drilling operations. The analysis done to obtain capacity data, was performed in Abaqus Explicit solver using quasi-static approach, due to complex and highly non-linear contact behavior. For the correlation study a comparison between Test Data and FEA was performed.

Szymon Pastuszczak holds a Master's Degree in Mechnical Engineering from AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Poland. He has been working for TechnipFMC for over 7 years and his initial career in Oil&Gas Industry started at design department and production support until 2017. Szymon has since been working as Analysis Engineer performing structural, pressure vessel and impact analysis. Currenly he is acting as Analysis Lead at TechnipFMC Engineering & Service Center located in Kraków, Poland.
