This is an Abaqus/Explicit simulation. The pumpkin material properties use the *BRITTLE CRACKING option. The animation is from the Physics Results Explorer app. The pumpkin shape was created by inflating a hyperelastic spherical mesh with stiff stringers and using the resulting displacement field as an imperfection.
