SIMULIA UK Regional User Meeting

2014 SIMULIA UK Regional User Meeting

The 27th Annual UK SIMULIA Regional User Meeting was held on the 4 & 5th November at the Park Royal Hotel, Cheshire.

During this year’s conference attendees heard from 3 keynote speakers from Triumph Design Ltd, TWI and UCL Institute of  Cardiovascular Science & Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Attendees also heard product updates on Abaqus, Isight, fe-safe and Tosca from multiple SIMULIA experts as well as a live demonstration of the next generation software on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Furthermore, there were the usual excellent customer presentations from key customers such as Rolls Royce, JLR, Prospect, TATA Steel and more! For the third time we presented the Rob Lacey award for the best paper at the conference. This was awarded to Mark Stephenson at MAHLE who presented “Crack Prediction and Subsequent Simulation Driven Redesign of an Exhaust Manifold Powertrain”.

Other conference highlights included the SIMULIA round tables, conference banquet and the egg-tastic game, the interactive exhibition; it was fantastic to see so many customers try out the 3DEXPEREINCE workshops, the living heart project and take a test drive on the SIMPACK simulation drop driving simulator.

We have made the customer papers, some of the customer presentations and SIMULIA presentations and conference photos available to download below.
