Just before the banquet, SIMULIA showed off its next generation simulation product families, DesignSight and ExSight in the context of designing an insulin pump.  The demonstration showed how the V6 platform was the basis of not only the full lifecycle management of the product but also the complete experience of the product under a variety of critical conditions.   Within this same platform, the designer was able to quickly react to management’s design changes and himself check that the design met some important structural requirements before passing along the design to the analyst for further validation.   

Once the analyst received the updated design, he turned to ExSight to put the design through the paces of a drop-test scenario, making use of massive parallel computing power to get his results quickly and also to visualize the large amount of data generated from the simulation. 

The presentation was eye-opening for many in the audience, many of whom were seeing V6 technology for the first time.  The demonstration showed what is possible with these SIMULIA V6 products today, and it gave a glimpse of where the technology is going in the future as well.
