BETA CAE will demonstrate and offer hands on experience of the Tosca-ANSA Environment.Tosca-ANSA Environment (TAe) provides a complete interface for Tosca, in the concept of a predefined template Tool (Task Manager). This interface facilitates the definition of Topology, Shape, Bead and Sizing optimization problems, providing feature based entries for all Tosca Structure keywords. TAe is available as a standalone product or as an integral part of ANSA.
CD-adapco will offer a choice of 3 cases to be solved using STAR-CCM+ / Abaqus Co-Simulation dealing with Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) applications. At the beginning of each session the attendees will vote which case they want to see. Case 1:Fuel Tank Sloshing (picture also attached in original size)A half full fuel tank containing two structural baffles will be simulated. The goal of this free surface simulation is to investigate the response of the 2 way coupled FSI system to an impulsive loading.
Case 2: Free Falling LifeboatThe impact of a free falling lifeboat will be simulated. The goal of this multiphase (air and water) simulation is to study the impact event when the lifeboat hits the water.
Case 3: Failure of a Sealing (picture also attached in original size)A 5° section of a sealing will be simulated. It will be investigated at which pressure level the sealing deforms to such an extent that it starts to leak.

GNS GNS will provide a hands on demonstration of Animator4. Users can get in touch with the latest release of Animator4. We will give an overview about the different possibilities to post-process your different Abaqus results and create reports directly inside Animator4. Users can bring their own examples for special questions.
Materials Gateway for Abaqus/CAE
In this demonstration, participants will be able to search and apply materials models from Granta Design's comprehensive reference data on metals, plastics, ceramics, composites, and natural materials - directly from Abaqus/CAE. When installed in-house, the software enables comprehensive management of proprietary materials knowledge - with the same quick, integrated access from Abaqus.
Wolf Star will give a hands on demonstration of True-Load™. Learn to turn ordinary components into multi-axial load transducers with True-Load™. This workshop will provide hands on demonstration of strategically placing strain gauges, reconstructing operating loads and generating strain correlated FEA results in a robust and automated fashion. True-Load™ software can be used to quickly evaluate any design modifications.
