2024 brings with it many new developments in the world of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation. Across the SIMULIA portfolio, new features and performance improvements are increasing the power and applications of simulation. In this newsletter, you will find links to Tech Talks on the latest releases of the SIMULIA Fluids portfolio, including PowerFLOW, XFlow, as well as the Fluid Dynamics Engineer Role and Plastic Injection Engineer Role on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
In particular, we have content drawing attention to the latest developments in GPU acceleration in XFlow, which promises to speed up lubrication and sloshing simulations, and new features for laminar separation simulation in PowerFLOW that are particularly useful for applications such as wind turbines and eVTOL propellors.
Meanwhile, we have blog posts on electric vehicle thermal management and race car design. Simulation helps engineers to optimize performance in these challenging areas while also ensuring reliability. To understand more about optimization and the meaning of the Pareto principle in modern design, we also have a Tech Talk on how Virtual Twins are redefining what "good enough" means in design.
Finally, the 2024 SIMULIA Regional User Meetings are approaching. The first few dates have already been set, covering the Americas and parts of Europe, with more to come in the future. Register for an event in your area and network with other SIMULIA users and experts!
