SIMULIA Champion Story | Susanne Hipp, OTH Regensburg

Meet Susanne Hipp, a professor of Microwave Engineering at OTH Regensburg, at the University of Applied Sciences near the Bavarian Forest, since 2020.
In her radio frequency engineering (and related) classes, Susanne enables students to gain insights into the invisible electromagnetic field by using CST Studio Suite in lab experiments. In the RF lab, she uses simulation for bachelor's and master's theses and projects. Susanne also serves as an expert in (EM) simulation and HPC on her faculty.

In the video, Susanne talks about how she fell in love with antennas and how this led her to CST simulation and teaching. She also talks about the benefits of simulation in her role as a Professor, enabling her to demonstrate to her students how to make invisible electromagnetic fields visible. All this makes us proud to have her as a SIMULIA Champion, which she says benefits her, too, especially as she can now easily contact other engineers and thus, the community it builds.

Check out what she had to say. ❤️
