During the MBS Tech Days 2021, @SM from Dassault Systèmes held the R&D Update about Wind Turbine Dynamics.
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, including work placements at GE and BMW, Steve led a project team for the design and implementation of A-frame automated order dispensers for three years. He returned to university, where he received a Master of Science in Design and Manufacturing. Subsequently, he took on a position for one year as a project engineer and lecturer at the Advanced Railway Research Center. Steve worked for the SIMPACK Company from 2000 to 2016, where he held the titles Director Sales and Marketing (2007-2016) and Director Wind Energy Solutions (2009-2016).
Of note, he has a continuous function in the product management of Simpack for the wind energy sector. Simpack is a general multi-body system simulation software enabling analysts and engineers to simulate the non-linear motion of any mechanical or mechatronic system.
Following the acquisition of the SIMPACK AG by Dassault Systèmes in 2014, he has continued his work with wind energy clients as the company’s SIMULIA IPS, Industry Process Expert – Wind Energy Executive. Subsequently, Steve has been working with customers involved in wind energy since 2004.
