I, Roopesh MATHUR, am a Roles Portfolio Engineering Senior Manager in SIMULIA R&D, who is responsible for PowerFLOW and PowerTHERM.
I have over two decades of experience in CFD/CAE; including working as the CFD/Simulation expert at an energy storage startup, product management, and leading technology teams in new product development. I graduated from IIT Madras with a B.Tech. in 1994 and received his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware in 2002, both in Mechanical Engineering.
Kevin CARVALHO is Roles Portfolio Senior Manager in SIMULIA R&D, who is responsible for the Fluid Dynamics Engineer Role on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
He has significant experience in CFD/CAE: including working as a CFD analyst in two leading T&M OEMs as well as at SIMULIA to develop simulation methods for complex workflows.
Kevin graduated from V.J.T.I, Mumbai with a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 and received his Masters from the Pennsylvania State University in 2017, in Aerospace Engineering.
Abstract:
SIMULIA Fluids Simulation enables customers to address a broad range of real-world applications with the close integration of modeling and simulation on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. PowerFLOW offers world-class Lattice Boltzmann (LBM) technology for high-fidelity simulations of aerodynamics, heat transfer, aeroacoustics, and more. XFlow is an LBM solution with capabilities for moving geometry and multiphase flow. Fluid Dynamics Engineer utilizes a fully-featured Navier-Stokes solver for simulations performed directly on the design geometry. In addition, the Plastics Injection Engineer application allows validation and optimization of plastic part and mold tooling designs early in the product development process.
