Electromagnetics is one of my favorite topics to talk about

I received my Laurea degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the “Sapienza” University of Rome in February 2007. While at the university, my scientific interests were already focused back then on electromagnetic theory and applications, specifically in scanning antennas and arrays. So, it was only natural for me to focus my master thesis, in collaboration with SELEX SISTEMI INTEGRATI in Rome, on the design and optimization of a planar phased array for radar applications.

After joining, the CST AG as an Application Engineer in 2007 and subsequently, with the acquisition of CST in 2016 by Dassault Systèmes, I am currently working as a EuroMed Technical Manager at Dassault Systèmes. In this role, I am responsible for the electromagnetic simulation domain at SIMULIA.

In my presentation at the EuroMed SIMULIA Regional User Meeting 2021, I presented a product update about R&D topics in Electromagnetics. I concentrated on four main areas of the application: 

• Antenna Engineering and Certification for 5G Network Design
• Electronic Design Analysis
• Aerospace Communication and Detection System Performance
• Power Electronics Engineering
