Preliminary User Satisfaction Survey Results (2014)

Hello everyone,

After the first of 3 weeks collecting responses, the preliminary results for the 2014 SIMULIA Customer Satisfaction Survey are out and we really appreciate the time taken to provide us with your feedback. Here are some interesting preliminary results from the survey:

Did you know that most of you use 8 cores or more to run their analysis? See the trend in the graph for the last 9 years. It is no surprise that the need for FEA simulation is continuing to grow given the costs of computer hardware is continuing to go down. Furthermore, the CPU usage in the top segment (≥ 32) has been increasing at a faster pace within the last few years.

It is also clear from the results below that our users anticipate their CPU usage to keep growing in the future. This is yet another indicator of the importance of Abaqus simulation for our users.  Also, Kudos to our users for accurately predicting the 2014 CPU usage back in 2011.

Additionally, the number of active users in our Leaning Community has been increasing. It is a great tribute to see that most of our users support each other and share their knowledge and experience in the application of realistic simulation and optimization technology and methods.

We can’t wait to hear from all of you on what you think about our Company, Products and People. If you haven’t yet taken our survey, don’t panic – you haven’t missed your opportunity to respond just yet.
