Segmented image data can be imported to Abaqus as robust volume meshes with conforming interfaces and shared nodes, removing the need for further meshing. Contacts, nodes, shells, material properties and boundary conditions can also be assigned to models to improve mesh quality before import to Abaqus.

In addition, Simpleware software enables the easy integration of CAD objects and image data - this allows patient-specific images and implants to be combined for simulation without sacrificing geometric accuracy.

Simpleware software is fully supported by experienced application engineers, and includes further options for exporting NURBS-based CAD models and STLs for 3D printing.
