Part 2: the attached video, about 13 minutes, shows a ductile tearing instability fracture analysis to determine the critical crack size. The example uses 3D crack meshes and elastic-plastic Abaqus/Standard analysis to compute the crack front J-integral values needed in the ductile tearing assessment.
